Figured I should post something I’m working on to once again prove that I’m working on something. This is the inks for one of the character portraits that I intend to display on the cast page of the webcomic I’m making. More stuff to come soon.

Dear Aaron Diaz,

Over the past few days we’ve already exchanged some words about this. I reblogged Mary’s comic lampooning your comic (and others like it), expressing my approval of its message. I also subtweeted your work fairly obviously. We are friendly acquaintances…

I’ve been thinking this for quite some time now. Honestly I thought I was going kind of insane when seemingly nobody else reacted whereas I just couldn’t get over it. I’m very happy to see someone addressing it openly and professionally.

Scott Lynch and Elizabeth Bear came to Malmö for a book signing thing today and it was amazing. To mark the occasion I wanted to draw something from the Gentlemen Bastards for Mr Lynch and since the ending of Republic of Thieves left such an impression on me, this is what I decided to go with. Upon handing over the original drawing I received the title “Official Portraitist of the Falconer of Karthain”. I am honored.

Some of my friends said I should upload some of my sketches to here, so here we go. ;-;This is pretty much how most of my pages look; lots of clutter. This spread is reworking an old mech idea. The old one I made digitally looked way to modern so I’ve tried making It look a bit more primitive. The scale is still too big tho so I need to make the cockpit take up more room so It seems a bit smaller (think about 2-3 large single seater airplanes small)

This is a cool guy who draws cool stuff, you should check it out!

So I saw Wicked in Korea and HASDJHASKJGSLDKFÖALSKFADFGJNABHSJ was it beautiful. JUst- I’m happy ok. The show was in Korean of course, but multiple read-throughs of Wikipedia’s plot summary in combination with endless listening to the english soundtrack on repeat had prepared me for this. It was amazing the end.

IKEA AND POKEMON

So I’m back from Korea and I still can’t feel part of my butt from being seated so long during the flight home it really was amazing. Now listen here children, fear not if you ever get lost in the big city of Seoul. In at least some parts of the city, tourist guides are stationed in every other street corner ready to jump to your rescue. They are super-helpful handing out maps, giving directions and whatnot.
…But I still can’t get over how their uniforms make them look like some kind of pokemon trainer, so here’s a messy doodle of that.

IKEEEEAAAAAA

Tomorrow I’m off to South Korea. During the two weeks I’ll be spending there I intend draw as much of the cool stuff I see as possible (as well as drawing cool stuff I don’t see). I’ve even got myself a new sketchbook for this special occasion:

So hopefully I’ll have some stuff to share when I’m back. Not to mention I really hope I’ll get around to really start coloring ~those~ comic pages after the trip. Then. In the future. Two weeks. Yes.

Anyway, see you around : D
